Album Review : Sweet & Lynch – Unified

In review we have the second album released by a  group of well know artist now fronting as Sweet & Lynch. This  band consist of of  Dokken’s & Lynch Mob’s lead guitarist, George Lynch, Stryper’s front man, Michael Sweet, bassist James Lomenzo (ex Megadeth, White Lion, Black Label Society) and drummer Brian Tichy (ex-White snake). With a line up like that you could consider a bit of a super group.

This Album “Unified” follow the 2015 album ‘Only to Rise’ and  Sweet & Lynch brings great guitar riffs, screaming sounds and from a mix of heavy hair metal and melodic rock as traditional hard rock that will appeal to their fans of previous bands.

The guitar rhythm and screams to start out the gate with Sweet’s voice on the opening song “Promise Land”. The record’s strength may be in the way in which the lyrical musical statement. You would have to listen to the album closely to realize just how good some of the lyrics and guitar playing really is. For me this is good music but not heavy enough to keep me wanting more of it every weekend.

This album is filled with good music and great guitar playing throughout, it is well worth adding to your collection of music.
