Scott Durbin aka Mover Scott of the Imagination Movers was a guest this week and discussed a ton of topics…………
Scott talked to about how he planted the seed with the other Movers about the idea for the band.
He explained how he was a teacher for over 10 years, and also being a new parent and children’s TV programming gave him the inspiration for the Imagination Movers.
He talked about how the differences today in teaching in schools is with technology and the way kids learn nowadays.
Scott told us about the template they had for the show, and the early days and how about 80% of what became the show was true to the original form.
He also discussed the whole Hurricane Katrina disaster and how he and some of the other Movers lost their homes, cars, the Movers Offices and everything they had, and how it changed them.
He explained how he teaches his children about traveling, with all the moving around he did as a child with his father being in the army, and with him going out on tours now.
He also told us how on the Movers wish list is to play on SNL.
Scott also talked about how it is just Weird that you can just download a song now, compared to the days of going to the record store and buying a record.
Scott talked to us about the new CD Release “Back in Blue”, and their upcoming tour.
Lastly Scott discussed Miley Cyrus and how she is portraying herself and her legacy with her recent actions.
Mover Scott joins Totally Driven Radio at the 124 minute mark, and hangs out with the boys for over 45 minutes to discuss these topics and more.
