Movie Review : KONG Skull Island

Movie Review : KONG Skull Island

By Jess Ragni

Alright, so you have a star studded cast of Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John C. Reilly, John Goodman, and Corey Hawkins you think WOW THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!!

The film is set in 1971, why?  Can’t tell ya.  Why were they sent to check out this island?  Can’t answer.  How is Kong still alive after the events of the original King Kong and the Empire State Building, don’t know how to answer that one either.

HOWEVER, the government decides to send a team of explorers with soldiers to the mythical island that becomes known as “Skull Island”.  They speak of this is the island where no one returns alive, who are the inhabitants, how do they survive in an inhabitable island……well guess what there are bushman that listen to an old World War II Army soldier that was stranded on the island-how he got there not explained, Samuel L. Jackson goes on a power play which kills not only himself but half his team while Team Hiddleston makes it out well and alive.

Does Kong have a soft spot again for another pretty lady and save her, why yes…..but guess he swam all the way from NY injured to make it all the way to skull island since in Faye Wray days he died.

This film was a total disappointment to me and my family-wait for Netflix, blue ray, dvd or better yet-USA network.
