I got to say that I am a huge fan of M. Night Shyamalan and can tell you I was not disappointed in this film whatsoever. I was on the edge of my seat the whole entire time.
Kevin suffers from multi-personality disorder in which you see them all each and individual until the final one is released called “The Beast”.
Kevin kidnaps three girls and the torture that these girls endure from his hand is unimaginable and horrifying. Then to see how far terror reign is goes is even worse.
Betty Buckley has a brief role in this film as Kevin’s therapist and can tell that he’s fighting all the other personalities and decides to try to get him to open up. Unfortunately it doesn’t end well whatsoever but her performance is outstanding.
Kevin is played by James McAvoy (his few other personalities are Dennis, Patricia Hedwig Kevin Wendell Crumb, Barry, Orwell and Jade), his sweetest personality is a little boy that which you can’t help but fall in love with that one. James McAvoy is not a new man on the scene of films, his few most notable performances were Victor Frankenstein (film of the same name), he played Charles Xavier in X-Men: Apocalypse and Days of the Future Past, and lastly Filth with Bruce Willis.
This is a must see film but will tell you that this is one that will last and stick with you, infuriate you, drive you to just want to reach thru the screen to get at him-but that’s when you know that a film is very well done.
