AS I SEE IT 2/20/17:

Wrestlemania weekend…indy style

Bob Magee
Pro Wrestling: Between the Sheets

As we start to get close to Wrestlemania weekend, here’s the yearly indy Wrestlemania weekend update. Since I’ve always pushed indies, this will focus on the indy activities and not WWE’s. If you want to see updates on WWE’s many Wrestlemania weekend events, go to

But this year, like every one of the last several years, independent promotions will piggyback on Wrestlemania weekend, and put on their share of wrestling shows, a convention, and other fan events. As most years, there are two different combinations of indy convention/wrestling shows. Both take place March 30-April 2, 2017.

First, there is WWN Live Experience from the Orlando Live Events Center, 6405 South US Highway 17-92, Fern Park, FL. It will feature the WWN family of wrestling brands, and the WWE allied independents including EVOLVE, Progress, Revolution Pro (UK), plus SHIMMER and CHIKARA Pro Wrestling; along with the annual WWN Supershow, Mercury Rising 2017.

The venue is about 10 miles outside downtown Orlando, and is approximately a mile from the Altamonte Springs Sunrail stop, and immediately near the 102 and 103 GoLynx bus routes. For mass transit information, and operating times go to Keep in mind the later the events, the less likely, transit will be operating to and from any Orlando WWE or independent events.

Here is the information made public so far on events:
