Hello my maniacs. We all know that for the past 30 plus years around Thanksgiving WWE puts on the Survivor Series Pay Per View. It has gone through some transformations in that time one of which is cutting out all 5 on 5 Survivor Series matches and throwing in some singles bouts into the mix. This has proven to be a recipe for success and this year was no exception. So allow me to stop yapping and break it down for you.

From the start the show was high energy as the newly re grouped Shield squared off against The New Day. Fans most certainly were not sour as this match set the tone for a night of daring moves and fast paced action. Each team complimented the other’s technique to perfection and made for a great match. In the end The Shield left The New Day sour with a spear to claim the victory. Believe that.

The next bout was a traditional 5 on 5 Survivor Series match involving the women of Raw competing against the women of Smackdown. On Team Raw we have the dream team of Bayley, Asuka, Alicia Fox, The Boss Sasha Banks and the female wrecking machine Nia Jaxx. Representing Smackdown we have the Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch, The Long Island Princess Carmella, two second generation superstars in Natalya and Tamina with the glowing Naomi completing the team. These ten ladies showed no mercy on each other as one by one each was eliminated leaving Asuka as the sole survivor for Team Raw.

The next match is a personal grudge match between two superstars who personify arrogance as The Miz goes up against the always cocky, Baron Corbin. Over the past few weeks Corbin had been making some unpleasant remarks about Miz’s wife Maryce and Miz had finally had enough. Miz flat out told Corbin that if he made one more remark about Maryce he would clean his clock and that is just what he did. Throughout the match Miz stayed on Corbin showing him no mercy but in the end Corbin came out with a win an Miz hoping for another chance to get his hands-on Corbin.

The next match was filled with high flying antics as well as some straight up brawling as The Bar Sheamus and Cesaro face the high flying third generation tandem of The Uso’s. These two teams came into this match with winning on their minds as they met each other move for move. The Bar raised the bar even though The Uso’s got the win. I am sure that these two teams will meet again to settle the score.

Next up we have Divas action as Charlotte faces Alexa Bliss. Once again Little Miss Bliss steps into the ring with someone who can’t stand her, oh the friends she has made. From the opening bell these ladies took the fight to each other each with a few tricks up their sleeves. But when you are the daughter of the dirtiest player in the game, WOOOO, you do not come to lose. In the end the genetically superior Queen Charlotte scored the pin over Alexa. Alexa, let’s have a rematch.

Now we come to a match of epic status as The Beast Brock Lesnar along with his advocate Paul Heyman faces off with The Face That Runs the Place, The Phenom A.J. Styles. Fast and furious A. J. had a game plan of trying to keep the beast down and hit him with every move possible. Throughout the bout the beast matched Styles move for move not letting up at all. A quick trip to Suplex City and it was all over for A.J. So back to Smackdown you go to plot your next move. We have not heard the last of these two.

Finally, the main event that puts Brother in Law vs Bother in Law as Smackdown captain Shane O’ Mac faces Triple H and Team Raw in a traditional 5 on 5 Survivor Series match. Representing Raw are Captain Kurt Angle, Triple H, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman. Representing Smackdown are Captain Shane O’ Mac, The Viper Randy Orton, free agent John “U Can’t C Me” Cena, Glorious Bobby Roode, and The Artist Shinske Nakamura. There were no friends and no allies here. It was every man for himself and take no prisoners. Eliminations were quick at times uneven on each side. Finally, it came down to 3 on 1 as Raw was left with Angle, Strowman and Triple H against Shane O’Mac. Raw started to break down as Triple H eliminated Angle and then had words with Strowman. It looked as though Triple H was about to help Shane out and then he gives him a pedigree and a victory for Team Raw. Guess they will not be passing each other the Turkey at the dinner table this year. As if that wasn’t enough, Triple H and Strowman get into a battle ending with a pedigree to Strowmnan courtesy of The Game.

And that my friends is how you celebrate Thanksgiving WWE style.

Until next time maniacs I wish you peace love and Turkey.
